>>Set my clothes out the night before.<<

I found this one of the most useful steps for getting out of the house while still asleep.

Some people find clothing capsules helpful, especially things like Whatever's Clean 13 that are designed to be unclashable. Grab something that suits the weather and go.

>>Shower the night before.
It will free up a good 30 minutes in my morning which would be amazing but I don't know how gross I'll feel going to work without being freshly showered. Mum thinks it'll help me sleep better as well, showering before bed<<

It is absolutely crucial to figure out what works for you and what doesn't. Ideally, take a baseline before you make changes. How often are you late? What is your morning mood? How well do you sleep? And so on. Do a new thing for at least a couple of weeks and then recheck to see if things are better, the same, or worse. You can do this in your head or on a worksheet, but pay attention.

>>Have a morning routine chart <<

Anything critical you need to do should be either listed, or set up in advance so you can't forget it (e.g. bookbag in front of door).

>>Do you have any morning routine tips I could try?<<

Offload all possible preparation and thought to the night before.

I typically eat the same breakfast every day. It has varied over the years, but is usually the same because I have to get food in my mouth within 5-10 minutes after I get out of bed, and there is zero chance I will have any real decision-making capability then. (It takes about an hour to boot up.) The fewer decisions you have to make, the better.

Preferably, change one thing at a time and make the new habit set before trying to add a new one. This minimizes the chance of burnout and lets you tell what is having new effects in your life. If you change a bunch of things at once it is harder to troubleshoot.
